First band-aid.

I got this brown sticky plastic tape round my fore finger.
Mom and Dad happily called it my first band-aid, the smile on their face was as if there are many more to come.

Today I accidentally put my hand in the door grove while it was about to close, and it peeled my skin a little, it didn't bleed. Just so that it didn't burn while eating or bathing Dad put the band-aid this morning hoping it would stay till the heal.

But in the evening when Dad came back he found that the band-aid was all workout and turned black with all the dust I had collected from the park downstairs. So he quickly released me from the same.

New milestone crossed.

Seven months ago at the Dubai mall aquarium when I saw fish, my first word's were 'mum mum'.
Today I actually had one and loved it. Made dad run and get another plate when all the fish initially got over.
I only had Bada fish for dinner, and then smarties for dessert.

I love company.

For the last 10 days I was in Muscat with Dada Dadi and Fui. Now for the next 10 days Nana and Nani have come to stay with me.
I love peoples company, I am lively around them and enjoy each moment talking and playing with all of them.

In Muscat, my Dadi got me a self peddle bike and I would run with it all around the house. Fui got me a battery operated police bike and I would ride it a little with the push button then get off and push it with my hands. Dada took me to the slide and trampoline, and I would freak out with joy.

Nana got a me a toy airplane which I make fly up and down. Nani talks to me all day and imbibes new knowledge.
eg: When dad asked mom, 'ketla wahgiya?', I looked at dad and said 'Pappa, clock'.
I was playing with the newpaper and mom asked me, 'what is the name of this newspaper', I said 'Chaapo'.

Since nani has been talking to me in Gujrati, Kachi and English, I can now relate to all similar meaning words.

New developments.

Vivaan is growing up everyday. Everyday he has added something new to his vocabulary and knowledge which he loves to showcase.

He is now picking up on how to make sentences. Till now it was more of one or two words, now it's a three word sentence.

When he sees or wants something, eg: he says 'Vivaan ne slide' or 'Vivaan ne bike' or 'Vivaan ne chocolate ieya ieya (pointing to his mouth)'.

He now recognises A and B in capital anywhere, even if in middle of a word. Eg: will walking down the street the other day he shouted 'B', 'Pappa B (pointing on the other side of the road)'. When I looked I saw he was pointing at 'Station Bern'.
Then today when I was going thru a French magazine, Vivaan stopped me on one page, pointed out A and said 'Pappa aa jo A'. He was pointing to the A in 'LE ROMAN EN OR'.

In our present European trip, we have covered ourselves with good amount of clothing, which is needed while out in the single digit temperature. But when we entered into a restaurant, in a while Vivaan said 'Deko garam, mamma Deko garam'.
Lol. We busted out laughing.
Since Reshu calls him Deko, he sometimes calls her back as 'Deko Mamma'. And since Reshu calls me Honey, Vivaan has coined me as 'Honey Pappa'.

To all the kids around, younger or elder than him, Vivaan addresses each one as 'Nanu baby'. Parents who understand this get offended most of the time. But to please them, Vivaan has recently started to go shake a hand and say hello. Also if asked, how are you? He promptly replies 'Fine, thank you'.
But if the same question is asked by any elderly, he gets shy and runs into mom and dad for a hug. However, he does give a high five to all.

He also likes practising his high five and baby fives when he is alone and talking to himself.

The latest chaska he has got is about Paise. When ever we have to pay or collect money, Vivaan wants to do it.
He njoy's that a lot.

My luggage...

Mom and Dad were happily surprised on my today's development.

We have been doing a lot of train and bus travel all over our European tour, specially today when we did Jungfroch - Top of Europe trip. One of our journey we had to leave my stroller and bag in the luggage compartment, and at one station when one guy tried to get his stuff out from behind, as soon as he touched our luggage, I yelled 'Vivaan nu bag, Vivaan nu pram... ' again and again till the guy was embarrassed and came and gave our luggage to mom and dad. Importantly mom and dad were not aware that someone is moving our baggage. Hence they were proud of me today.

I tried something else too today. After my potty when mom took me for a clean up, before mom could start her act I took the water in my hand and started splashing my bum.
Not that I know were n when to potty, but I am learning how to clean myself up. I believe cleaning up is as hereditary.

Disney land, Paris.

Today I went to Disney land park. I had the best time of all times so far.
Luckily the first thing I did was meet Mikey mouse, almost broke the line a couple of times to go shake hands and say hello to him. Eventually at our turn to meet him I felt shy, but did click some pics.
I was mesmerised my his charisma and kept staring even when he was telling me bye at our way out, so after we had walked away a couple of steps and I realised that, I walked back alone up close to him and said bye, and came back. Brave, ain't I.

As I am becoming big, I understand things and now demand as per my like. When I saw 'le carrousel' (merry-go-round) I put my feet down to go and sit on the black horse.

Then when I learnt about Dumdo and knew he could fly, I made a entire seen every minute of the 30 minutes were we were made to stand in the queue. I kept yelling, Vivaan ne Dumbo ma fly..  Vivaan ne Dumbo ma fly.

I know all are friends to each other, so I keep them together and play with them in the bunch. My favourites our Mikey Donald Goofy & Pluto (basically no girls).

Ice cream.

I tasted ice cream today... Hip hip hurray!

I love it.

My Cot.

Today, after I am nearly 19 months my cot got packed away.

Not that I used it much after I was 7 months old, but as a baby till then I use to quietly sleep in it. It was after my first Muscat trip that I learnt to sleep in between mom and dad, and have been doing the same till date.

Off late the cot was been used as my timeouts on the enormous mischief I did. Hence I am happy it's packed away.

But mom n dad have a different reason to dismantle it, it could be as I was now trying to climb into n jump out of it all on my own, yes it was very tiring but worth the effort.

Tu ji to...

I am catching on things as they pass by. Every little bit that I see or hear is a new learning for me. And if not at that time, I surly repeat it sometime later.

Like today when Mom was showering me, and to my surprise but water on my head, I turned back and said 'Tu ji to... '. Mom was shocked! She didn't know how to react.
Surprisingly, I too have no idea where I caught this from, may be the TV.

Similarly the other day in the afternoon I started lifting my hands to my shoulder level and then bending down to touch my feet. When Dad asked what I was doing, I promptly replied 'Exercise'. I had seen Dad do these steps couple of days ago.

Bangalore.

Everyday we teach Vivaan names of cities where close relatives live, so that he gets a sense of distance and can emotionally relate to their coming and going.

Where does Kaka n Fui stay?
Poona
Where does Nana n Nani stay?
Bangalore
Where does Vivaan stay?
Mumbai
Where does Dada n Dadi stay?
Muscat (doesn't say it yet)

Today, Atul uncle Vivaan n myself went for a walk to have some hot samosas at a nice bakery. At approaching the bakery I read out the name, Banglore Iyangar's bakery... Immediately Vivaan turned my face and asked, Nana??? Nani???

One and half year celebration!

Today Vivaan completed 18 months.




We celebrated with a small chocolate cake Reshma made at home and I got him his first toy gun.






He caught on to the word 'Gun' immediately, but kept trying on how to pull the trigger.

Once he got it, then he followed the firing with saying 'Bang bang'.

At the park.

Today I took Vivaan to the park.
After a small glide on the swing, I took him to the ladder that goes to the slide.
I was surprised, that just with minimal instructions and after me showing him how to climb just the first couple of steps, he caught it and successfully climbed it to the top.

Then obviously, he did not stop. He got down from the slide and rushed for the ladder again and again till he exhausted himself.

Jampore beach, Daman.

Vivaan Bhatia khaye Ghathiya

Walking down the steps.

It was my first independent attempt to walk down the steps at my mama's house in Vapi.

We were on the first floor playing in Mitesha fuis room, when suddenly my ball fell of the steps and I ran to collect it.

I could independently climb down two steps, thereafter my Dad was there to support.

I loved the experience so much that I repeated climbing up n down the steps multiple times till I actually got tired.

BTW, my first attempt to climb up the steps was at our Pune house atleast 4 months ago.

Fashion savy - Arranging the shoe rack.

You know those big malls and those designer shops which are mostly empty.
I always wonder why they have so many attendants, had how the shop owner manages to keep them busy.

So I opted to help. I gave all the attendants a run for their money. I am sure they would have gone tied and satisfied home that day. Finally they had some work.

I was in the shop for about 40 mins and for each min I had three attendants running around and moving things around, which I very stylishly arranged.

My first arcade experience.

I had so much fun !!!

It was my first arcade experience at ORAMA in Inorbit mall.

Atul Dada had come to see me and play with me today. He teaches me all new stuff, like tapping my hand on my mouth and saying 'Aaaaaa', rolling my fingers on my lips and doing 'Burrrrr'....

Today I surprised him a bit. He showed me the phone and said lets call Dadi, but then he realized it would be nap time, so he told me 'hair Dadi suti hondi', I promptly questioned 'Hna hna?'.
No one know how I related suti hondi too Hna hna, which means sleeping.

While eating food, Dad purposefully said 'Aao, jhami ghan' to see how I reacted to new words. I promptly asked 'Muum mum?'
No one knows how I related jhami ghan to Muum mum, which means having food.

Its magical.

Flying bottle.

Being a nice weather, dad like to leave the window open to let the cool rainy breeze come in.
But just then, dad forgot something can go out too...

Today, after my afternoon portion of milk I stepped to the window and thru out the bottle.
Luckily no one's head or car windscreen broke, nor did anyone yell (even if they did we wouldn't hear it at this height). Lol.

Maybe it's an indication that I will now drink from the glass, people read between the lines...

Grocery.

Did you know I love sitting in the baby seat on the shopping cart. I enjoy freely looking around and talking to mom n asking about all that surrounds us.

Yesterday while grocery shopping, I saw something that I recognise, an Apple. At a blink of an eye, I leaned forward, picked it up and bit into it.

Mom was shocked!
She quickly rushed to the weighing counter to price tag it before it reduces in size. But I wanted it now. I wanted it in my hand.

I made a whole seen for 10 minutes till I got it back, after the billing queue.

So what, everyone in the shop knows me now, and that's a good thing. :-)

Dada... Dadi... Nana... Nani.... Where are you???

The last week was a very eventful week for me. Not only did I make the best of it but I left back good memories in the minds of my grandparents.

Like most kids in India go to their grandparents during their vacation, my grandparents took a vacation to come and see me. Dada Dadi came from Muscat to play with me for 5 days, & Nana Nani came from Dubai to Bangalore, so that they can be close to me.

When Dada Dadi came home I surprised them by not only recognizing them but also addressing them by calling out Dada Dadi & also addressing fui as 'Habibi!' (darling).
I then showed off my toy collection:
My car which goes broom vroom...
The cycle, on which we go ba ba...
My meeio, which I hug and feed.
The collections of balls and my jumping and sleeping in them.
How I play bat ball and hit a 4 at all connects.

Apart from this, I love receiving new toys, rarely does one of them become part of my loved collection, rest are played with for an hour, discarded, broken & thrown...

During my trip to Bangalore, I was a nice boy in the flight but I missed fui's generous service, which I had received during my earlier flight from Muscat to Mumbai.
With Nana Nani we celebrated Mom's 30th birthday and had a blast. I had my first chocolate experience and I just could not get over it.
During one of the outdoor visits I happened to bang into a glass wall, so later Nani taught me to check if there is glass wall/door before I run fast into it. So then when even I would go out to the balcony I would first stick out my hand, take one small step at a time, keep saying 'glass... glass...' and walk towards it. If no glass I would run into the balcony, and then while coming back in the room,  I would first stick out my hand, take one small step at a time, keep saying 'glass... glass...' and walk towards it.

I miss you all. Dada... Dadi... Nana... Nani.... Where are you???

What is your name?

Today I was asked, Whats is your name?
I promptly replied - 'Bha Tia'.

Dad was so happy to hear that after his long office hours, he just hugged me and kissed me.
I too tried to respond to his kisses, by leaving some teeth marks.
I love to bite, specially my mom! She yells when I do that... I think that means she likes it. The louder the shout, the more I think she likes it and the more harder my next bite (kiss).
I love you mom! (You have something to prove it).

And I do say it too.. 'I Lub you'. I say it when I am very happy and deeply in love with mom & dad, or I just say it to myself when I am enjoying my play.

I also know what I need, when and in how much. For example: If I want to watch the TV, I ask for it to be 'Chalu' or 'On', and when I am done watching - does not matter who else is - I go to the TV, put off the mains and say 'Bandh' or 'Off'.

Now isn't that a typical cute 'Bha Tia'.

Hello...

By now you all know how much I love electronics. I love banging Dads laptop, I love playing with my laptop a little less, I love putting the AC on with the remote controls, I love switching the TV off while mom watches, I love seeing dad in the security door camera, but all this is no comparison to my first love.. the Phone, popularly known as 'Ba'.
When anyone is talking on the phone, thats when I need it the most. Come on, give me a chance to say hello too.
So today, mom talked to nana and nani, hanged up and went to the kitchen to do her work. Come on, I need to talk to them too. So I had to talk to them....
Firstly I couldnt spot the phone, so I ran into the bedroom to find its base unit and page the phone. I followed the beep sound and tracked the wireless phone down.
Picked it up, redialed, put it to my hear and waited for someone to pick up. There was nana's voice. I was so happy when I recognised his voice and I kept repeating 'Nana, Nana, Nana....'.
For a minute mom looked at me and was wondering why I was doing that.
After a while nani came on the phone, and I said 'Hello' to her. We talked about my whereabouts for a while. Nani then explained to me that I need to go give the phone to mom. So I did. I walked to mom and kept giving the phone and repeating 'Ba'. But mom was busy...
After 6mins of this episode, nana called on mom's cell and informed her that we can hear all her talk, thats when mom took the phone, hanged up and kissed me.

Clean is the opposite of Dirty...

As you know how sensitive I am to dirt, and that I have a good eye to spot dirty things.
Today I turned the world around by cleaning it up.

Yes, I saw mom brooming this morning and placing the boom back behind the refrigerator.
As soon as she left the kitchen, I stretched myself out to get the handle and pull the broom out, immediately rushed for the living room and started cleaning the next spot of what mom had cleaned.
Note I held it correct and broomed it right, I believe cleaning is in the blood somewhere.

I actually forced mom and dad to think why I did not copy the maid who does it daily, and ended up coping only mom.

At the end of it, I learned a new word 'Clean'.
I will be using the word on its own only, without the broom (Mom hopes).

Bike Ride.

I love my evening 'Ba ba' walk in the society, sometimes Dad takes me on my cycle and I sit with my arms on the arm rest watching people and birds pass by, and sometime Mom takes me walking to the cats, and we feed them, or we take my ball to the amphitheater and play football.
Hence I love my walks and I am very particular about them, I need them daily on my time, if not I not only keep proving, at the same time improving on throwing my tantrum's around.

Today Dad came to see me on his black bike. I didn't know it moves after I sit on it. We went for a small drive round the block, while me sitting on the tank. Dad said I was a good boy as I did not lift my hands from the petrol tank and was sitting calmly and enjoying the ride. However I think Mom was freaking out in the back as I could hear her calling me often, and trying to hold me all the way from behind Dad.
It indeed was a nice experience for me, I could not get over the fact of things move past me at a good speed and the cool breeze on my face made it feel heavenly.

Kangaroo

I have just started exploring my emotional side.
I have a soft toy - Australian kangaroo which I carry with me most of the time. I call it 'Mauu', thats because at this age for me their are only two kings of animals, one 'Bhaw Waw' and other other 'Mauu'. All cat family animals are Mauu and everything else is Bhaw Waw.
So my Mauu is like my favorite, I hug it, hold it and carry it with me when I am in the mood. Importantly I like to share my things and feeling with him.
I feed him while I am eating.
I make him sit on/in my toy car and push him around. ('In' the car means stuffed inside the trunk)
I fake shower him when I want to shower.
And
I make him sleep when I am sleepy.

But the best thing being, I beat him up when I am angry.

Wooden Cooking Spoon

I love helping Mom in the kitchen. Mom has just taught me how to steer things with her big wooden cooking spoon.
I love to steer spoons in all kinds of vehicles and enjoy the sound the spoon hitting the bottom, even more I love to hear the sound of some items banging against the wall of the bowl.
One evening, as soon as Dad entered home I followed him to the washroom and ... Aaaa... I keep myself busy till Dad washed his face. Then there was a big yell, and Dad made me leave the big  wooden cooking spoon in the washroom inside the bowl which had some water I had just steered.

Hair buckle.

Beena mami was home this weekend to play with Vivaan. She surly enjoyed her time here.
One morning before going for a shower Beena mami removed her hair clip and placed it on the table, our little champion here picked it up and started playing, incidentally he fell asleep before he could see mami again.
In the evening while mami and Reshu were sitting together on the dining table, without any confusion in mind or inclination to mom, Vivaan found the hair clip and returned it to mami.
And fascinated mami couldn't stop repeating the story to all.

Cricket

I have always been hitting a perfect shot with the bat while sitting down and when someone passes a ball over, I shout out loud 'FOURrr'.

For the last couple of weeks I have been running around the ball on the ground, whack it hard with great amount of accuracy (connect).

Just today, when dad bounced the ball to me I hit it in the air and said 'Six'...
Which means my eye hand coordination is good.
